No one told this lady she couldn’t have the angel and tree INSIDE her room.
Jesus was big on walking a mile in the other persons shoes. Maybe you should consider how non-Christians feel about funding Christian displays with their tax dollars. I’ll bet you wouldn’t be very happy if your local taxes paid for a Hindu or Buddhist or Moslem or Hebrew or Kwanza display.
HUD subsidizes this place so she needs to keep her angels in her room and let the rest of the residents believe in their own fashion as well.
I agree. And I dont believe in any God and tend to be anti-religion. I have no problem with people displaying religious objects in private or public. I do think the war on religion is a bit ridiculous but can you blame them? Well some yes, but the backlash against religion is not only valid but long overdue, but going after symbols and holidays is stupid. Im for getting rid of all tax exemptions for churches and label them for what they are, a business. Im also for keeping church and state seperate, which they are not in many cases. If religion did not have such a offensive role in this country it would be left alone.
It is a christian country so christians should be allowed their angels however I think everybody shold be allowed to show their faith but if you told them off in say saudi arabia for celebrating eid there would be trouble everybidy should be tolerant of everybodies religion I just think people are so anti muslem at the moment that they are fighting back as not every muslim is terrorist anymore than every irishman is ira or orangeman hence we need to stop persicuting everyone because of religion
the elderly grandmother cannot place a small Christmas tree outside her door (because that area is a “commons area”) if it contains any religious symbols or religious words, even an angel -
from the link. It seems that all she has to do is call the ALCJ and sue them for violating her 1st amendment right to practice her religion and her 1st amendment speech

I agree. People have celebrated Christmas here for many, many years. Now all of a sudden, the MINORITY has more rights then the majority.
MADNESS!!!
(((hugs)))
