Are my supervisors treating me fairly? Should I start job hunting? Is this age discrimination?

  1. I think what you should do is just dedicate one day to making sales. Don’t do any cleaning or grunt work unless you have down time! I’m sure that most of this work is meant to keep you busy and not to punish you.
Are you paid hourly or commission or both? This might explain why others are making more than you. If it is just hourly, however, you should ask your coworkers how long it took them to make the amount of money they do now and if they feel it is worth it for you to wait that long.
If you work more than 32 hours, you are considered a full time employee and should be paid like one. This is also another issue that needs to be brought up to your boss.
If you bring these issues up and nothing gets changed, then I’d say it’s time to start job hunting again. Good luck!

  2. you are a full time student and have flexible hours, this is a plus, most places for part time want scheduled hours so that can fill in the rest of the schedule to have all the bases covered. You should have asked what “are my duties or responsibilities” when you were interviewed for the position. You might consider looking very quietly for another position or have a little chit-chat with the boss. Places I have worked had a rotating schedule for the housekeeping duties and yes the store mangers were also on the schedule. The store manger was the person who made out the schedule.
